Bees Turn Somersaults

With this morning's beautiful sunrise, I see buds on trees all around. I feel the burdens of this winter easing in the drip-drip rhythm of melting icicles. Lavender crocus blooms suddenly appear, and bees turn somersaults in their yellow pollen.

Right here on the cusp of spring, Jesus says: "You are the light of the world." Even as we yearn for light, we shine with the light of God.

And when we get discouraged? There is always something to do: step back, take a deep breath, feel the warm glow of God's tender love, and turn to ourselves with an even more encompassing compassion.

Love is a practice. And practice makes.... more practice. God is with us every step of the way.
