“The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Jesus said this to Nicodemus, who was at first afraid to change.
Now the wind sweeps over the grass and slips through my fingers. On the palms of my hands I feel how temporary life is. And I know, more calmly than ever, that we are here to love with our whole hearts.
We cannot tell ahead of time where a heart full of love will take us. We cannot imagine, before we get there, what astonishing things we can do when love opens the door.
