Seeds of Peace: Archbishop Romero

Wherever we are, and whatever we are doing, we can plant seeds of peace.

In an ordinary conversation, we can open a space for truth-telling to work its wonders. In moving through our days, we can pause, shake off our doubts, and choose the most healing thing to do.

It is good to remember that politicians are not the most important agents of social transformation. All of us have power to bring forth peace. In learning together, we change what is visible. In talking together, we change what is speakable. In acting together, we change what is possible.

As Archbishop Oscar Romero put it, “Peace is the generous, tranquil contribution of all to the good of all.” May God bless to us these words of love and wisdom.
