Evening Walk

Last night a fiery orange moon rose over the treetops, while the heron we look for each evening fished in the pond below.

And just now, we caught sight of a kingfisher in a young tree at the pond's edge. A breeze lifted the graceful dark grasses beneath it as summer wildflowers lit up all around.

We walk together in our neighborhood each night as the light is changing. It is such a peaceful way to say thank you at the end of the day.
